Goodbye, Bell.
I’d canceled the Bell Internet service today. Too bad. Before today, everybody told me they had some unhappy experience with Bell, but I didn’t believe them and I defended.
Now I know: I am wrong, I am totally wrong.
When I came back from Toronto in early September, I moved to this new place. At the every beginning, I didn’t want to bring my lovely black modem with me, but Bell tried its best to keep me. And yes it did. It told me if I stayed, I would get a very nice deal such was, after moving, the first month was free and $35 per month in the following 35 months. That is basically a 3-year contract.
During the moving, I made several phone calls to Bell’s customer service to make 100% sure that my “nice” deal didn’t fly away. Not all of the stuff knew the 3-year contract, but they all accepted it after my explanation. They all told me that everything was set and I would be very happy with them in the following 3 years.
I was very happy, and it was true before I looked at my credit card balance this afternoon.
On October 9th, Bell charged me $85.93! What the hell was that? I immediately called to Bell’s billing department to figure it out.
A girl answered the phone. She had a nice voice, but I heard the worst news from it: Nothing was on the file! $85.93 was the combination of the service charge of August (that was right) and September. But “where is my first month free?” I asked. The answer was “I haven’t seen any notes show you’ve been award the credit.”. OK, one month does not matter too much. How about the future, how about my 3 years deal? The answer was “there is no such thing exists.”. I explained everything to the girl, I yielded to her and I was pissed off. Finally, I canceled it.
Everything Bell promised to me was just a dream, Bell is a liar!
